Owned and operated by Resorts of The Canadian Rockies (RCR) Kimberley Ski Resort with its consistent snow falls and varied terrain could easily become a major international family ski resort. Unfortunately its owners consistently fail to provide the quality of promotion or the facilities needed for Kimberley to shake off its "cheap vacation" status.

Only one lift, the North Star quad gives you access to the top of the mountain. The other two mountain lifts a 2 man chair Tamarack and a 3 man chair Easter can only be described as slow and ancient and both need replacing for Kimberley to advance.

There is only one hotel and one catered chalet in Kimberley Alpine Resort. No on hill restaurants or bars other than the two owned by RCR which are located at the ski hill base. The views from the top of the old Rosa chairlift are world class  the lift has now been decommissioned and as far as we know there are no plans to replace it. The resort also needs at least one more lift to access the mountain from base plus another to allow beginners to use half of the Main run as the run really is too long for beginners progressing from the Owl area T bar.
